Top 5 Wedding Venues in Vancouver

Top 5 Wedding Venues in Vancouver

Vancouver weddings are stunning and we are thrilled to have some amazing options to choose from. Although we have so many that we love to work with, here are five of our favourite wedding venues in Vancouver!

UBC Botanical Garden

Are you looking for the perfect outdoor space? We love weddings that use UBC Botanical Garden’s Contemporary Lawn and Arbour as their venue. Picture your ceremony on their upper lawn, followed by cocktail hour on the lower lawn and dinner under the arbour. If you’re dreaming of an Italian inspired long table dinner, this is the place for you!

Our Ideal Venue Guest Count:

We love keeping it to 80 people

Things to Note:

Renting a tent is highly recommended as the Arbour does not provide full coverage in case of inclement weather!

JW Marriott at Parq

Coming from a background in hotels, I love how they operate with so many departments bringing operations together. JW Marriott at Parq really excels at this! JW’s banquet team is spot on with an extremely polished level of service. Their function space offers so many options from small to large scale weddings and events.

Our Ideal Venue Guest Count:

We can go big here but also keep things intimate so it’s up to you!

Things to Note:

It can be a long walk from your event space to the hotel guest rooms. The good thing is, they will typically give you a bridal/wedding party ready room to make dress changes and hiding personal items is a breeze.

Cecil Green Park House

Choosing Cecil Green as your wedding venue gives you the full package. The grand house, the Patio and the Garden. With it being at UBC, you also have the best photo options with the beach and several gardens nearby. Why even need to travel when there are some great photo options in and around the property!

Our Ideal Venue Guest Count:

Up to 70 guests on the Terrace

Things to Note:

There are noise restrictions given that it’s a residential area. Not to worry as you can bring your dancing indoors!

The Wallace

The Wallace is the perfect space to not worry about a huge shift in plans no matter what the weather brings. With so much natural light pouring in and a big blank white wall, we love the many options on how to make the space be true to your aesthetic! The Terrace is the perfect spot for a Ceremony or Cocktail Reception.

Our Ideal Venue Guest Count:

80 guests

Things to Note:

Watch for the summer concert schedule in the Shipyards as the outside noise can sometimes be heard if you’re planning a ceremony outside.

Stanley Park Pavilion

We love garden weddings and this venue checks off all the boxes on incorporating the outside with the inside spaces. The transitions from Ceremony on the lawn to Cocktail Reception in the Tea Room and then Reception in the Ballroom are our favourite for the perfect flow. Bonus is the rose garden and many tree lined areas are nearby to get some great pre or mid wedding shots!

Our Ideal Guest Count:

Up to 120 guests (Venue can do up to 180)

Things to Note:

There is a very specific time for the ceremony to happen but it works really well to lead to Cocktail hour and the Reception.
